   Auction set are shipped on the next working  days after receiving the complete payment. Careful packing and sending on time are my priorities.

   Kommentar - die Weihnachtssiegelmarke, mit der die Weihnachts- und Neujahrspost geschmückt oder verschlossen werden kann, erfand der dänische Postangestellte E. Holboell. Mit dem Verkaufserlös sollte das Leid tuberkulosekranker Kinder gelindert werden. Die erste Marke mit dem Porträt der Königin Louise von Dänemark erschien am 10.12.1904. Die Nachfrage an den Postschaltern war enorm. Das Ergebnis der Spendensammlung übertraf alle Erwartungen und gestattete, den Bau einer Kinderheilstätte zu finanzieren. Schnell breitete sich die Idee der Weihnachtssiegelmarke aus und fand mit der Zeit in 130 Ländern Nachahmung. Die kleine Marke mit dem roten Doppelkreuz wurde Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts zum Banner im Kreuzzug gegen die Tuberkulose. Für viele Kranke wurde sie zum Symbol der Hoffnung auf Heilung, auch wenn sich damals diese Hoffnung angesichts der Heilerfolge der Sanatoriumsbehandlung nur für einige Patienten erfüllte. Die Marken wurden und werden weltweit farbenfroh und einfallsreich gestaltet, vornehmlich mit weihnachtlichen Motiven oder mit einem Bezug zur Tuberkulosebekämpfung.
