Auction item: Medal - coinage of the first and most expensive German commemorative coin: „100 Years Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg” from 1952. Features: proof, edge: smooth, diameter: ± 36 mm, weight: ± 18 gr.
The restrike is slightly larger than the original coin. The obverse of the medal is a copy of the original. It represents the Ostrogothic eagle fibula from northern Italy, a gold cloisonne work from the 5th century (length 12 cm, Germanisches Nationalmuseum).
On the reverse of the restriking is the enlarged federal eagle, in which an oak leaf is integrated in the coat of arms, as well as the value "5".
On the original coin, on the other hand, the nominal value "5", the inscription "Deutsche Mark - Federal Republic of Germany" and the federal eagle appear.
I am dissolving parts of my private collection. Collector's exchange is possible.
