Auction coin: Soviet commemorative 5 rubles of the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, often known simply as Matenadaran, located in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
Features: composition: copper-nickel, weight: 19.8 g, diameter: 35.0 mm, Leningrad Mint. Reverse shows an image of the Institute, an ancient manuscript, a sword, shield and an eagle, a candlestick, stylized text "Matenadaran" in Russian (Матенадаран) on the upper rim of the coin, stylized text "Yerevan" in Russian (Eреван), and the foundation year of the Institute (1959).
I am dissolving parts of my private collection. Collector's exchange is possible.
